Hale Irwin enjoyed a remarkable career on the PGA Tour as well as the Senior PGA Tour, and now designs internationally recognized courses around the world. The course opened for play in July of 2000.
At 7,100-yards and a par 72, the Prescott Lakes course offers 5 tee boxes on each hole to allow flexibility and varied play. The course follows the topography of the land complementing the natural beauty all around.
The course at Prescott Lakes is a Links course, blanketing twelve acres. Since the course covers so much area, each hole stands alone.
The extreme color contrasts on the course sparkle in originality. The light brown from the course surroundings, make the fairways reflects the most brilliant green you ever set spikes on.
The course has the feel of a desert course, but at the same time echoes something very different. Golfers will encounter no cactus like the target courses of Phoenix, but more rolling brush and rocky arroyos.
