There is a certain mystique about Arizona's Superstition Mountains, and no where is that more apparent to golfers than when playing Gold Canyon Golf Resort.
Designed by Ken Kavanaugh, the Dinosaur Mountain Course (**5 Star Course**) takes golfers farther into the desert environment, where a round of golf is exhilarating with spectacular vistas of the scenic Superstition Mountains. The views from holes four and five will put the Gold Canyon experience in perspective.
Golf in the Arizona desert could hardly be more defined than from these vantage points. Long considered a players course, the Dinosaur Mountain Course offers challenges to players of all levels. Golfers of all abilities will have a choice of four tee box locations to choose from.
The Sidewinder Course (**3 Star Course**) is noted for its creative design and challenging desert landscape. Round after round, you'll never get tired of the panoramic vistas.
Sidewinder snakes around the base of Dinosaur Mountain, through natural arroyos and dry creek beds. Native cholla and prickly pear cacti, mesquite and palo verde trees line the challenging twists and turns that will keep you on top of your game. And like the Dinosaur course, it’s a scenic adventure that will bring you back again and again.
Gold Canyon is a complete resort with 100 casitas, practice facilities, restaurant and lounge, pro-shop, PGA staff and instruction.
The #1 rated public golf course in Arizona is ready to offer you a truly unique golfing experience in the high Sonoran desert. Every tee box here presents a panoramic vista and an exhilarating challenge to your game. The course will take you up, over and around Dinosaur Mountain with dramatic tee-to-green elevation changes and long, loping fairways. The views of the nearby Superstition Mountains are spectacular. Signature holes #4 and #5 are among the most memorable in the game! |
