This 36 hole complex in nearby Prescott has achieved a reputation among the best public courses in the state. Keeping your ball in the fairway is essential on both 18's as mature trees line many of the fairways. The North course features a series of challenging dogleg holes. Both courses are well kept, especially considering the amount of play and are exceptional values given the pricey environment of the Phoenix area golf courses.
At 5,000 feet in elevation, Prescott's Antelope Hills is a great escape from the summer valley heat with temperatures 15 to 20 degrees lower than Phoenix. Home of the famed "Courthouse Square" and "Whiskey Row", Prescott is centrally located and only a 70 minute drive from I-17 and Carefree Highway. Adjacent to the Prescott Airport, Antelope Hills is a great retreat for the avid flying enthusiast.
Greens fees are very reasonable considering the quality of the courses. Antelope Hills has consistently received high praise as one of Arizona's top affordable golf courses.
Opened in 1992, the South Course is a links style course designed by Gary Panks. It is fairly wide-open, has generous mounding along the fairways and around the large undulating greens and presents a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains and granite rock formations.
Both courses are operated out of our new clubhouse at 1 Perkins drive that features a restaurant bar and full line golf shop. Although late model golf cars are available, walking is always an option at Antelope Hills. |
